"Difficult times" is a phrase I hear often buried in the static of shortwave broadcasts — whether preacher or politician. It's frequently used as shorthand in the advertising world — embedded in headlines or in soothing voice-overs. And it's also repeated in everyday conversation — especially online. Has it lost meaning?

Yet these times are indeed difficult for many. Life is a continuous influx of pain, consequence, joy and bliss. This music attempts to capture the ebb and flow — along with the difficult times.

Recorded during fall 2021 and winter 2022.
